Alberta currently produces approximately 250 megatonnes of carbon dioxide emissions which is known to adversely impact climate.  Driven by the entrepreneurship of our people and industries, we are leading the way in developing carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies that will capture CO2 when it's generated, for use in enhanced oil recovery processes, developing new products, or stored safely and securely in deep subsurface reservoirs.
